Are You Sure...

that this is a good idea?

I mean... I don't think mom wants you over here in the shop... and um...

yep... that's her.

She coming this way... I hear her...
and things are still up in the air in more ways than one.

(Maybe if I look surprised she won't blame me.)

Told you so... now please, put the jack away and let's just get out of here.

Nothing In Particular.

Nothing in particular made today better than any other ... just a day spent together doing ordinary things that I believe make our life extraordinary.

Hope your Sunday was filled with those ordinary things that make your life extraordinary too!

** Thanks for doing this for "all" of us ...

I'm following Michelle's lead, and am going to print them off, and then post them where they can be read often!

She is absolutely right in stating : "Sometimes, I just need to take a step back and look at how others see me, rather than how hard I can be on myself."

One Word - Lindsay

** photos added just for you Sharon & Tanya :)

There are words that I use to describe myself quite often.

Words that I hope reflect who I am, what I believe, and how I am portrayed as I live each and every day.

What word do you think of when you think of me?

On September 8, 2001 ...

I took my first picture of Ian at a Pendleton Round Up Chuckwagon BBQ.

I don't remember asking him if I could take it, but I'm sure I must have... well, then again, maybe not.

There are quite a few details of the day that would make GREAT posts, but I'll save them for another time.
Just know that I am not quite sure how I ever made a good first impression, but I must have. :)

When I developed the film the very next day, his face went on our fridge immediately.

Seriously... who does that?

I did.

One week later, he found me at the rodeo. He figured out where I was sitting, watched me head to the beer tent wearing shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops, and well, the rest is history.

He was wearing starched jeans, a button-up shirt with a button-down collar, boots, and a nice hat. (and for the life of me I can not remember if it was a cap or a "hat" ... I'll have to ask him to help me remember.)

I'm pretty sure it was the flip-flops that won him over... or maybe the purple sunglasses... either way, he got me... and I got him.

And each year since, when "Round-Up" time rolls around, I can't help but smile as I slip on flip flops, and he gets out his best jeans & shiny boots.

We're a pair.

He's my rancher, roper, cowboy, farmer, business man with a passion for cattle ... and I'm his short-haired, freckled faced, flip-flop wearing, photo-taking, story-tellin' , teacher with insurance who loves that our differences make us - us.

Happy "Round-Up Anniversary" Ian! :)

I love you and this life that we've made together!!

** and here are a few of my favorites from tonight (blurriness and all) **

p.s. Today was a better day... thank you all for your prayers.

God's grace is sufficient!

His blessings are many!

His love endures all!
