Spending an extra day at the hospital...
Our house is full of packed boxes.
Our 2 year old is being well loved by his papa, his mor-mor and his auntie Kirsten.
I asked to stay another day in a "peaceful" environment with my new son.
I've taken a nap.
I've written thank-you notes.
I've enjoyed the view from the hospital window.
I've actually "rested!"
We're taking it easy for another few hours...
and then...
it's back to reality and the chaos I love to call "our life."

Hatched!!
He's here.
He's perfect.
He's beautiful.
He's the newest addition of our family.
Mackinley Tellier (aka Mack)
June 29th
8:04 am
7 lbs 1 oz
21 inches
10 fingers.
10 toes.
A beautiful head of hair.
A chin just like his daddy.
A nose all of his own.
At 4 a.m. I woke Ian up.
He told me that he just wanted to lay there... and insisted that he still needed to sleep.
At 4:02 a.m. he realized that I was really talking to him and that I was serious.
At 4:30 a.m. we did chores on the way to the hospital.
Unbelievable... but totally the way things go around our house. Gotta love it!
At 5:00 a.m. we arrived at the hospital.
At 7 a.m. labor was intense and the pushing began.
At 8:04 a.m. I got to lift my sweet son onto my chest and welcome him to the world.
We're all doing well.
Mason loves "his" new baby.
Ian is proud to be the father of 2 boys.
I'm feeling great and am loving being cared for in a wonderful hospital with GREAT food!!
God is good!!

Update...
I HAVE NOT had the baby!
Not that I haven't done everything under the sun to help this little guy enter this wonderful world... but he's just not ready yet... but we are getting closer!
So many things happening right now...
Packing.
Harvest.
Fishing.
Packing some more.
Waiting for this sweet baby to arrive.
Eating at Hamleys... so, so, so good!!
Packing and packing and packing.
We're moving.
We're experiencing HUGE life changes in a matter of a couple of months.
We're excited, exhausted, overwhelmed, and blessed!!
More details later - just know that we're all doing well and I WILL post as soon as our new baby arrives!!
Happy Wednesday!!

Waiting
Knowing that I can "plan" all I want to... but it's really not in my control.
Life happens and we contintue to live and breath and move... and God is there the whole time!
Feeling so good about that right now.
Blessed by God and loving it!!
VBS is going well. Huge turn-out. Great workers. Not-so-great bubbles. Awesome music. Love watching kids worship with no inhibition or reservation!! Priceless.
Loving that mom & dad (mor-mor & papa) are here with us. So blessed & loved by their calming presence! Can't thank them enough.
Wondering when baby M will arrive. Ready... but not really ready for life to change. Will let you know when he arrives!! :)
Harvest has started. Hours are unknown. Life is anything but "routine." Praying for safety and rest as the crew begins to spend a lot of time doing what they do best.
Thankful that our pond is full of fish that a 2 year old can catch (easily)!!

The Past Few Days...
Wednesday:
so much to do.
so little time.
I'm finding that my emotions are all over the place right now... hmmm... wonder why?
I've had two fabulous days at home with Mason... napping, playing, reading, living.
I've been swamped with tons of little tasks to get done for VBS... but feeling good as I check them off.
I've done all the laundry - it is folded & put away.
I've made the beds.
I've prepared myself mentally that this sweet baby could be arriving any time.
I've loved my time with Mason.
This afternoon, I woke him up from his nap (early). I quickly loaded him into the car (not fun). I met Bryn in town and transfered my sweet, questioning, sleepy-eyed little boy from one vehicle to another. I kissed him goodbye and then cried.
Why?
Why am I so emotional about him staying with his cousins for 3 days? Why do I feel like the next time I see him I'm going to be holding his baby brother? It probably isn't going to play out that way, but what if it does? How will he feel? How will I feel? How will we (as a family) adjust? All these questions are running through my mind and I'm just a bit overwhelmed. I'm praying for peace and rest... and I know God is going to grant me my request... but that doesn't keep me from crying.
It's a blessing that Bryn offered to take Mason. I have a ton going on the next 3 days and he would have been shuffled here, there and everywhere if he wasn't with her. I'm thankful for the "me" time. I'm thankful for the opportunity to get "stuff" done and not worry about my boy. I'm thankful that she was willing and that she loves him so very much.
... but there is still a piece of me that is sad.
Thursday:
so much to do.
still not much time.
Had a pedicure with Ang... so nice and relaxing.
Gathered all my gift certificates that I've had absolutely no time to use and went shopping. Fun, fun, fun!
Got a TON done for VBS... feeling good about everything and so blessed that Kailin agreed to come on board with Shannon & I... the decorating crew (Katie & Melissa) have done a fabulous job... and almost everything is set for Monday. ** Shannon - it's going to be GREAT!!
Arrived home at 6:30 - exhausted.
The house feels so completely weird without Mason.
It's quiet and still and weird.
Called Liam to wish him a Happy, Happy 2nd Birthday!! Love you sweet boy!
Had a nice dinner out with my husband in Echo... and then a quick McDonald's soft-serve ice cream cone for dessert at Pilot. :)
Long day.
Productive day.
Ready for baby M to arrive.
Friday:
Organizing.
"Nesting"
Throwing stuff away that I haven't touched in the last two years.
Feels good.
Feels refreshing.
Missing Mason, but know that he's having a great time with the Brownings!!
Took care of paperwork for Farm Credits.
Got to meet Ken - finally! He has been my I.T. buddy, and has helped me so much over the past year. I talk to him on the phone quite frequently, but have never had the opportunity to meet him. Love him and his sincere and upbeat personality. So thankful for his patience with me in my "tech" role.
Had lunch with Ronda, Stacy and Avery at Taco Bell - Yum, Yum!!
Organized Ian's closet.
Got rid of all the "wire" hangers that his starched shirts and pants come back from the cleaners on... hate those things and smiled as I threw them all away!
Stopped by to visit Neely - Happy Birthday sweet, sweet friend - LOVE YOU!!
Dr. appointment went well. Have dropped quiet a bit since last week... lost 1/2 pound... go back next Wednesday if baby isn't here before then... WOW... I'm ready, but I'm not. How can that be?
Finished gathering stuff up at school - feels good to see my desk clean and ready for my sub in the fall. :)
Hoping to post again soon - pictures too... promise!
Blessings everyone - hope you're enjoying your summer!

Reasons...
Contracting.
Exhausted.
Contracting.
Overwhelmed.
Contracting.
Today. Yesterday. This week in general … has been all of the above.
I’m trying to keep a positive attitude.
I’m trying to keep things balanced.
I’m trying to exit the school year with grace.
I'm trying to not have a baby before VBS.
I'm trying to just live each moment in PEACE.
(Ever read this blog? DAILY PEACE!! If not... it's worth your time... just for PEACE!)
There is a reason teachers get summer vacation. They’d probably all kill each other if they didn’t.
There is a reason that men aren’t the ones that are pregnant. Enough said.
There is a reason that I’ve never opted to teach summer school. Hmmm.
There is a reason that chocolate seems to cure anything.
There is a reason that I’m a “people-pleaser.” There has to be. Right?!
There is a reason I seem to volunteer for everything. Hmmmm.
There is a reason I have terrible allergies (especially to grass) and my home is surrounded by pollinating grass fields right now.
There is a reason that I can’t seem to remember anything when I need to.
There is a reason that I married a man who likes to go to bed early – just like his wife!
There is a reason that I have an infatuation with flip-flops.
There is a reason that my friend Vicki calls me “Lucy.”
There is a reason that I have a truck that doesn’t make it through the Starbuck’s drive-thru with ease. I’ve had a smaller pickup the last two days… and guess where I’ve been both mornings?! (and it's not for coffee... more like the pastries!)
There is a reason that I’m contracting right now and tug-o-war is happening in my belly.
There is a reason for everything. Some reasons are better than others. Some reasons make sense. Some reasons are ridiculous. Reasons make life. Life needs reasons.
Enough Lindsay. Enough. Stop.
Happy Wednesday!

Ok... so here are a few more from the other night... and a not-so-good one of me looking more pregnant than the others...

Good Light
Life with 3... soon to be 4... only 26 or so days to go!!

Had awesome light last night - love, love, Love the light that happens right before a storm.
Becky was able to snap a few "good" ones... not so easy with "uncooperative" boys and their photo lovin' mama... but she did her best.
What a trooper - sliding down the bank to get Mason's shoe... what would I do without you sweet friend?! Love you - and appreciate you more than you'll ever know!
