Growing

These 3 little guys continue to amaze me - as they grow & change so very, very fast.

{1} Your home is more than the sum of its walls. Make it a sacred space.
{2} Creativity is a lifestyle, not simply an activity. Let it expand you.
{3} True forgiveness springs from love, not regret.
{4} Learn something new. Emphasize the trying, not the succeeding.
{5} Spend some time in the dirt. You'll be amazed at what nature can inspire.
{6} You don't have to have a perfect body to feel great in it.
{7} Define yourself by who you are, not the roles you play.
{8} Find rejuvination in five minutes of silence.
{9} Contribute to abundance. If you no longer need something, pass it on.
{10} Find direction in your life by looking where you want to go, not where you don't.

I have this taped to my wall right by my computer. I look at it every day... but this morning I really looked at it.

It's from Ali Edwards blog & I've adopted it as my "TOP 10" list for the summer.

Do you have a "top 10" for the summer?
A "top 10" that isn't a list of things to accomplish, but a way to live??
If not, borrow this one like I am, or make your own ...

and see where it takes you!

What to do first??

That's the question of the day.

Mason left early this morning to go swath.

Mack just ate a whole bowl of oatmeal... looks like he's going hungry huh?!

and me... I'm still in my pajama pants and tank top... gearing up for whatever comes my way today.... which I hope to be a whole lot of nothing.

Welcome Summer!

Looking forward to one of these tonight.

I'm not a big drinker, but red beer is definitely a favorite ... and seems to just hit the spot!

Tonight... my first official night of summer vacation... it's really going to hit the spot.

Welcome summer - crazy weather and all - I'm glad you're here!

Sounds at 11:00 p.m.

The wind is blowing through the trees. Actually, I think it's more like GUSTING right through the house.

The dryer is on. I hear Mack's overalls clanking as it turns.

A soft snore is coming from the intercom in Mack's room.

The clicking of my fingers on the keyboard as I type.

It's quiet really. Quiet enough to hear all of the things that seem to be constant in my world right now.

I'm tired. My eyes itch. My nose is running.

and yet... life still continues to bring new and exciting things my way... I just need to look up ... or maybe it's looking in that I need to remember to do to actaully see them!

{Thirty-two}

The Lord has blessed me with another birthday.

A day to celebrate the beginning of me.
A day to rejoice for the life I've been given.
A day to live joyfully, expecting little & giving much.

Thank you Jesus for the life I've been given.
May it be used to honor You.
May my words & my actions be a testimony of Your goodness, faithfulness and mercy.
May I continue to grow and change daily.
May I be the woman, mother, wife, daughter, sister & friend You desire me to be.
May I be bold & courageous for You!
May my hope be unshakable.
May I be content & fulfilled with who I am.
May I KNOW that God calls me {beautiful}.
May I run toward the future with trust & excitement.
May I live to enjoy another trip around the sun!

Rotten.

I wondered how long it would take for the
licorice, chocolate milk & french fries to ruin his teeth.

Looks like we'll be heading to the dentist this summer.
