and all he wanted for his birthday was a flag football party.
So that's what he got.
We spent the afternoon with a new Nerf flag football set, a few friends, a competitive dad & uncle, a Papa Gary as referee, an aunt as the cheering squad, and a mom to take pictures.
Everyone had a great time - even the spectators watching from the deck with hot chocolate (which I didn't get one picture of).
I think we've started a new birthday tradition for the boy born at Christmas.
Really, what more could one ask for than a day spent with family and friends.
That's what birthdays are all about - celebrating the fact that we are alive, healthy, happy and blessed with friends and family that truly enjoy spending time with us.
