super slide # 2.

Dear little water park of ours,

There is something to be said about a high-powered blower, a hose, and stitched plastic & vinyl.  You're worth your weight in gold, especially in our lives on the ranch.  The entertainment you provide is definitely something to write home about.  If only you didn't have that one little seam that didn't get sewn {that we failed to notice soon enough}.  If only.

Anxiously awaiting an email in response to your current condition, and hoping a sibling of yours arrives before the summer is over,

The Murdocks

hello summer.

Dear season of {summer},

thank you for arriving this week.

we promise to love you well, and live you to the fullest.

holding on to that which is sure, true and good.

casting all our cares and burdens on Him.

resting & knowing that we are blessed.

..........................................

thanking you daily in this season of {much} with gratitude, praise, and joy,

Ian, Lindsay, Mason & Mack

moving day.

Dear Mom & Dad,

Thank you for over 12 years of {fun} in this back yard {park} we were all so blessed to call {home}.  The yard that provided shade, fun, wedding parties, camp-outs, picnics, BB-Q after BB-Q, naps, fruit picking, snow{people} building, and so much more will be missed greatly.  The funny thing is, all that {great} stuff I just mentioned can happen anywhere - as long as we're there.  Thank goodness for that.

You have to be present to experience adventure ... and it's not always about the {place} ... it's more about the people.  Yep, definitely more about the people.  Never fear, there will still be hills to slide down, raspberries to pick and squeals of delight in just {living} ... just not at 2019 SE Dussault.

The croquet set is already in use at our house - not nearly on as lush of grass pictured here, but none the less, it's in use. Again, I'm reminded that it's not about where, but about the fact that it's happening - and happening well.

Our family will still gather together - to laugh, to relax in the shade or sun, and to make memories.  And although we won't be in Madras, we'll be together.  And {together} is much more important than a place.

The house is empty - soon to be filled with other things belonging to a new family ready to make memories just like we hold dear.  And as I look through these pictures, I'm reminded over and over again that you're truly blessing them ... abundantly ... with your home, your {park}, the garden, and so much more.

So, mom & dad, thank you for the memories, and the amazing life we lived in the small Central Oregon town of Madras.  Our lives our better because of it, but aren't over yet.  Not anywhere close to over.

Here's to new memories in the making, new hills to climb, new neighbors, less stuff, and a step of faith into the unknown.  Kirsten and I are both cheering you on!

We just won't be coming for dinner anytime soon.

With joy and praise for God's faithfulness in all of our lives, but especially yours, in the spring and summer of 2012,

a Disney concert @ Echo.

Dear Mrs. Fraizer,

Thank you for putting on a great "Disney" show. We were continually impressed with the creativity in costumes and choice of songs! There is something to be said for Mason wearing a polo shirt, plaid shorts, & slip on shoes for a "public" event. The old golf coach in me was cheering all evening long ... and even if it never happens again, his smile and "look" for one spring evening in May of his first grade year will stay with me forever.

Looking forward to next year,

Lindsay
