The boys and I arrived early in the afternoon before the rest of the family.
We headed to the sand and spotted a giant ship offshore ... which is a rare sighting for us.
Mason got a phone call from Ian ... letting him know he'd be there soon.
This was {thrilling} to both boys due to the fact that they hadn't seen their dad in 20+ days.
While we waited for Ian's arrival, we chased waves ... and even let them chase us.
Definitely one of the great things about waves.
The boys played with their new {sand} toys.
And ... Mason even smiled for mom every once in awhile.
Then ... the relatives arrived.
And we headed to the {pub}.
Relatives & the pub ... definitely go hand in hand. {grin}
Ian showed off his tanless legs.
And the kids explored the tide pools during low tide.
I'd say we're in for a great few days together ... wouldn't you?!
