walking into some great light.

I grew up "walking" on Thanksgiving.  My entire family {grandparents, cousins, aunts & uncles} would bundle up and walk for miles along Alki Beach in West Seattle.  We'd laugh, we'd play tag, we'd even flip over cars without meaning to ... but the greatest part of all was that we were together.

Thanksgiving isn't in Seattle anymore, but we're still "walking."

And exploring.

And laughing out-loud at each other and with each other.

This year was no exception.

The temperature was amazing, and the light was breathtaking.

It bounced off of the river and glistened through the trees.

The afternoon trek had God written all over every ounce of it - which is what Thanksgiving really is.

Thanksgiving - an attitude - not just a day - drenched with God.

The act of giving thanks.

A prayer of expressing gratitude.

A celebration of divine goodness - even in the hard.

Yes - goodness and gratitude led our way and even followed behind.

It peeked over shoulders.

And crunched under our feet.

It drifted through our souls as we wandered up-stream.

And as we made our way back to home ...

the thanksgiving, and gratitude, and buckets of goodness swirled through the air and up into the sky.

Just like it should.

Closing another day with {thanks}.

Your light is reversing; I enjoyed the visit.
I have my new computer and am working on getting used to it. I hope to be blogging soon. Find myself wishing for the ability to take photos...especially such awesome ones.
Then my next thought...I have poems I've written about old family photos, the growing up years and more and a scanner on the way. You are such an inspiration to making my way to sharing my story and getting a better handle on what my story is, Lindsay.

Just to let you know, the "s" in "reversing" was typed as a "b" on purpose. The site editor changed it, or maybe it was this new computer. At any rate, "reverBing" and "reversing" certainly have different connotations, wouldn't you say?!
